Welcome to the fourth outfit in my floral maxi skirt Fashion Challenge! I’ve had so much fun styling this skirt these past few months, and I’m excited to share today’s look with you all! This month, I wanted to create an outfit with a cute springy flair. I’ve been so tired of cold weather. I thought, maybe if I start dressing for spring, I can will it to finally arrive…? A girl can hope.
In the spirit of (hoped for) spring weather, I’ve styled my floral maxi skirt with one of my spring wardrobe favorites: my patterned denim jacket! I debuted this jacket on Coffee & Cat Eyes last month, and you can be sure to see a lot more of it. To me, it’s such a great wardrobe staple. Denim jackets are just a great basic to have anyway, but this one takes it up a notch with its cute pattern and sassy moto style. I love that I can be both girly and edgy while wearing it, and it totally plays into my pretty street style aesthetic.
And while this denim jacket is fantastic, you can’t have a perfectly layered outfit without the layers! I’ve opted for a lightweight gray tank top, lightly tucked into my skirt. This material is perfect for warmer weather. Additionally, the gray neutral is just what I needed with two patterned pieces in my look already! I’ve gone for a soft tuck to draw the eye in, pulling my look together.
Simple spring sandals and a lavender bralette complete my springy outfit. I’m loving how well this bralette complements the pink my maxi skirt! It’s such a pretty piece, and blends into this outfit nicely.
How would you style this skirt for a spring inspired outfit? Let me know if you love my look as much as I do!
